S&S cylinder heads for 1966-1984 Shovelheads

These well engineered cylinder heads, which are very close in external appearance to the original items, also address many of the weaknesses of the OEM design, particularly when carrying out any performance upgrades.

• Stock size 1.940 intake valve, but reduced size exhaust (1.720 instead of 1.750) gives better valve to valve clearance for cams up to .210 TDC lift.
• Springs and valve travel set to allow cams with up to .590 valve lift
• Port design and smaller exhaust valve improves flow compared with the stock heads
• Stronger material and heat treat than original heads
• Valves, guides, and valve seats compatable with modern unleaded fuel
• Valve stem seals as standard
• Stock-like combustion chambers allow use of all regular standard and aftermarket pistons
• Available for both '66-'78 O ring and '79-'84 rubber band style manifolds
• Available with combustion chamber counterbores to suit either stock bore or 3 5/8 bore cylinders
• Natural finish or black powdercoat
• Uses bolts rather than studs for rocker box attachment (bolts included)
• Exhaust port outlet is tighter fit on pipe spigot to help sealing
• Special order options include dual plugging and/or external oil drains
